Grading Tournament

Each year, WABL Associations enter their teams into the WABL Grading Tournament for qualification into relevant WABL Divisions. This is perhaps the most important process on the WABL calendar, as it sets each team up in their respective divisions for the remainder of the year.

The WABL Grading process is designed to allow teams to play more teams of similar capabilities in order to allocate them with more certainty. Below are the weekends for the 2025 WABL Grading Tournament:

WEEK 1 – SUNDAY 2 MARCH:

U14 Boys @ Morley Rec Centre
U14 Girls @ Mike Barnett Sports Complex
U18 Boys & U18 Girls @ Arena Joondalup
Div 1 – U14s, U18s & U20s @ Willetton Stadium

WEEK 2 – SUNDAY 9 MARCH:

U14 Boys @ Wally Hagan Stadium
U14 Girls @ Warwick Stadium
U18 Boys & U18 Girls @ Willetton Stadium
Div 1 – U14s, U18s & U20s @ Bendat Basketball Centre

WEEK 3 – SUNDAY 16 MARCH:

U16 Boys @ Arena Joondalup
U16 Girls @ Mike Barnett Sports Complex
U12 Boys & U12 Girls @ Willetton Stadium
Div 1 – U12s & U16s @ Bendat Basketball Centre

WEEK 4 – SUNDAY 23 MARCH:

U16 Boys @ Wally Hagan Stadium
