Basketball WA is proud to announce a landmark partnership with TCD Group, who will become the Naming Rights Partner of the Western Australian Basketball League (WABL).
This four-year agreement is the first naming rights partnership in the league’s history and represents a significant milestone for basketball in WA.
From 2026, the competition will be known as the TCD WABL Championship, with a co-branded logo featuring across the league. The logo will appear on playing singlets, shorts, warm-up tops, and coaches’ polos, ensuring TCD’s presence is part of every weekend across WA stadiums.
The WABL is the state’s premier junior representative basketball competition, which in collaboration with Basketball WA’s participating clubs, provides a pathway for thousands of young athletes and an important connection point for families, coaches, referees, and volunteers across the community.
With the support of TCD Group, the league will be able to strengthen these pathways, create new opportunities, and further the sport’s role in bringing communities together.
Acting Basketball WA Chief Executive Officer, Tyrone Thwaites, said the partnership is a defining moment for the sport.
“We are thrilled to welcome TCD Group as the inaugural Naming Rights Partner of the Western Australian Basketball League,” he said.
“To have the competition recognised as the TCD WABL Championship reflects the confidence TCD has in our vision and the importance of basketball as a community sport.
“This partnership will help us to continue investing in the pathways that inspire young people, connect families, and grow the game right across WA.”
TCD Group Managing Director, Adam Taylor, said the decision to align with Basketball WA reflects the company’s commitment to people and place.
“Basketball is the fastest-growing sport in Australia, and the Western Australian Basketball League is at the heart of developing the next generation of players,” he said.
“At TCD, we are passionate about supporting young people and strong communities. Having our brand integrated into the TCD WABL Championship and seen on the court every week is an exciting way to contribute to the game and the communities it serves.”
