WABL Grading

Each year, WABL Associations enter their teams into WABL Grading for qualification into relevant WABL Divisions. This is perhaps the most important process on the WABL calendar, as it sets each team up in their respective divisions for the remainder of the year.

The WABL Grading process is designed to allow teams to play more teams of similar capabilities in order to allocate them with more certainty. Below are the weekends for 2026 WABL Grading:

SUNDAY 1 MARCH:

FIRST GRADING DAY – U14s, U18s & U20s
U14 Boys @ Morley Rec Centre
U14 Girls @ Mike Barnett Sports Complex
U18 Boys @ Arena Joondalup
U18 Girls & U20 Boys @ Wally Hagan Stadium
Div 1 – U14s, U18s & U20s @ Willetton Stadium

SUNDAY 8 MARCH:

FIRST GRADING DAY – U12s & U16s
U16 Boys @ Warwick Stadium
U16 Girls @ Mandurah ARC
U12 Boys @ Willetton Stadium
U12 Girls @ Ray Owen Sports Centre
Div 1 – U12s & U16s @ Bendat Basketball Centre

SUNDAY 15 MARCH:

SECOND GRADING DAY – U14s, U18s & U20s
U14 Boys @ Mike Barnett Sports Complex
U14 Girls @ Arena Joondalup
U18 Boys @ Willetton Stadium
